The best restaurants in Jersey, Channel Islands: where to eat in 2026

For a big occasion, book Bohemia in St Helier, the island's only Michelin-starred restaurant, or Ocean at The Atlantic Hotel, which holds four AA Rosettes. For seafood with a view, go to Oyster Box on St Brelade's Bay or Sumas above Gorey harbour.

Samphire is the all-day brasserie in town, Tavola the Central Market Italian and Longueville Manor the country-house treat. For everyday eating there is El Tico on St Ouen's Bay, Faulkner Fisheries at L'Etacq in summer and the beach cafés at Rozel and Plémont.

Book the better-known places early, and earlier still for summer weekends. Oyster Box opens its reservations three months ahead and suggests calling back for late cancellations if your time is taken; Longueville Manor asks diners to reserve well in advance. El Tico, at the other end of the scale, takes no table bookings at all. Seasons matter too. Beach cafés keep their own calendars (The Hungry Man at Rozel opens from January to October, Plémont Beach Café closes in December), and some restaurants shorten their hours from October: Oyster Box, for one, closes on Sunday evenings and all day Monday through the winter.

The island's own produce shapes the menus. Jersey Royal new potatoes, which Visit Jersey notes are the only UK potato with EU Protected Designation of Origin status, appear in early spring and the harvest runs to late June or early July. Oysters come from the beds at Grouville, and hand-dived scallops, crab and lobster turn up on most of the menus below. In October and November the Delicious Dine Out festival brings special menus built around local ingredients. Expect London prices or a little more for a sit-down meal: Numbeo's crowd-sourced figures put a three-course dinner for two at a mid-range restaurant at about £100 in Jersey against £80 in London, though a pint is cheaper at around £6 against £7. Many of the places below add a 10% service charge.

Bohemia, St Helier

Bohemia, inside The Club Hotel & Spa on Green Street, is the only restaurant in Jersey with a Michelin star, and it has held one every year since 2005, which makes it one of the longest continuously starred restaurants in the UK. In February 2026 Michelin renewed the star for a 22nd year and named head chef Tom Earnshaw its Young Chef of the Year. He joined as sous chef in 2023, after kitchens including Moor Hall and Northcote in Lancashire, and took charge in 2025.

The cooking is modern European, built on Jersey and French produce, and the main event is a tasting menu with wine pairings. The signature menu listed in January 2026 included Jersey lobster chawanmushi with finger lime kosho and coconut, and Pekin duck with beetroot molasses, hibiscus and a Rouennaise sauce. Michelin's inspectors praise eye-catching dishes with natural, well-balanced flavours, served in a chic, marble-fronted room with a cocktail bar alongside. There is also a set lunch, an à la carte, a vegetarian tasting menu and a chef's table.

Good to know££££The signature menu was £139 a head in January 2026, or £209 with paired wines, and a 10% service charge is added. Lunch Thursday to Saturday, dinner Tuesday to Saturday; book through its website. The AA lists three Rosettes†.bohemiajersey.com

Samphire, St Helier

Samphire replaced Ormer at 7 to 11 Don Street in 2018, won a Michelin star within six months and lost it again in the guide published in October 2019. It has since settled into what Michelin's inspectors call a "buzzy all-day brasserie deluxe": open from late morning until late, smartly done, with island seafood running through the menu.

The à la carte has Jersey oysters natural or in tempura, a lobster and brioche roll, a hand-dived Jersey scallop with Jersey carrot and hazelnut, pan-roasted turbot with Champagne beurre blanc and whole grilled lobster. The better-value route is the Regional Table, a rotating set menu that explores a different region's cooking. This autumn it is Greece: grilled octopus with taramasalata, a lamb shoulder moussaka, baklava with honey and an orange and pistachio ice cream.

Good to know£££ à la carte, with mains from £28 to £45. The Regional Table is £38 for two courses or £45 for three, Tuesday to Friday at lunch and dinner, which brings it into ££. Open Tuesday to Saturday, with breakfast on Saturdays; closed Sunday and Monday. Book online or by email.samphire.je

Tavola, St Helier

Tavola sits inside Jersey's Central Market, close to the fountain, and was one of four Jersey restaurants added to the Michelin Guide in August 2026. The inspectors were enthusiastic: sensible prices, warm and knowledgeable service, and a menu of pizzettes, homemade pasta, carpaccios, dips and small plates for sharing. They single out the trottole with pork and fennel ragù, and a chocolate mousse finished with olive oil. It is open from 8am to 4pm Monday to Thursday and from 9am until 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays, so it works for a weekday market lunch as well as a weekend dinner.

Good to know££Going by Michelin's price band. The ten-seat bar is walk-in only; book online for a table. Current menus, including breakfast, are on its website.tavola.je

St Aubin and St Brelade

Oyster Box, St Brelade

Oyster Box is squeezed between the coast road and the promenade on St Brelade's Bay, and every table has a view of the bay. It belongs to a family restaurant group that grew out of a Gorey pottery, and it does seafood without fuss: Jersey rock oysters with shallot vinegar or on a mixed plate, crab tagliolini, Jersey crab cakes, fish pie and locally caught grilled octopus, plus steaks and a Thai cauliflower for anyone avoiding fish. Michelin's inspectors single out the terrace views, the crab pasta and the oysters, which the restaurant buys from the beds at Grouville.

Good to know£££ à la carte; ££ for the lunch menu, at £26.50 for two courses or £32.50 for three. Reservations open three months ahead and the largest table seats ten. Through the winter it closes on Sunday evenings and Mondays; from March to October only Monday lunch is off. Card payments only, and a 10% service charge is added. Visit Jersey lists two AA Rosettes†.oysterbox.co.uk

enotèca, St Brelade

In St Aubin, in what used to be a delicatessen, enotèca is a small Italian wine bar run by Jersey-born Kate and chef Marcello from Modena. Michelin's inspectors put it neatly: "Jersey meets Italy." The owners also import natural wines from small producers, and the inspectors praise the choice of bottles. The kitchen makes its own pasta and gelato, and the cooking is cucina tipica made with local produce: a short evening menu of classic Italian dishes, blackboard specials and relaxed service.

Good to know££Hours change with the season†. The gelateria opens on Saturday and Sunday afternoons.enoteca.je

The Old Court House Inn, St Brelade

The Old Court House on St Aubin's harbour is two buildings in one: the front was a merchant's house and the back the original court house, with parts dating from 1450. The Garden Restaurant was once the Prize Court Room. There are two bars, one of them made from the original tender of the Westward, and a brasserie-style restaurant that specialises in fresh seafood, with classic pub dishes and local ale alongside. There is a terrace over the harbour, and television fans will know it as Jim Bergerac's favourite spot for a drink.

Good to knowOpen all year.†Visit Jersey listing

Mark Jordan at the Beach, St Peter

Mark Jordan has run this bright brasserie beside the beach at Beaumont, looking across St Aubin's Bay, for more than ten years. The menu is modern British and leans on the island: crispy tempura Jersey oysters with vongole sauce, seared Jersey scallops with pulled pork and celeriac, fresh Jersey crab mayonnaise on homemade brioche, line-caught Jersey sea bass. Michelin's inspectors recommend finishing with the hot raspberry soufflé and raspberry ripple ice cream, and it is still on the menu. The restaurant held a Michelin Bib Gourmand for several years from 2012; the current guide lists it without one.

Good to know£££With starters from £14.50 to £17.50 and mains from £24.50 to £39.50. There is a set lunch and, during the autumn festival, a Delicious Dine Out menu that changes every fortnight. The restaurant states two AA Rosettes. Michelin's listing gives lunch and dinner Tuesday to Sunday, closed Monday. Book through its website; a 10% discretionary service charge is added.markjordanatthebeach.com

Ocean at The Atlantic Hotel, St Brelade

The Atlantic Hotel sits on the headland at La Pulente, above the southern end of St Ouen's Bay, and Ocean is its restaurant. It lost its Michelin star in 2017 but holds four AA Rosettes, renewed for a sixth year in October 2025, which the hotel says makes it one of only three restaurants in Jersey at that level. Executive chef Will Holland cooks around island produce. The current à la carte runs from Jersey oysters on ice and a Jersey Royal velouté to seared diver-caught Jersey scallops, Jersey crab arancini, butter-roasted cod and barbecued Jersey sea bass, with buttered Jersey Royals from Manor Farm on the side and a cheese trolley to finish.

Michelin's inspectors describe a bright, nautical dining room with sea views and say desserts are a highlight. In December 2025 La Liste put Ocean in its top 1,000 restaurants in the world for 2026.

Good to know£££With starters from £14 and mains from £24 to £39, plus a 10% discretionary service charge. Smart casual. Booking is recommended; for more than six, call the hotel.theatlantichotel.com

El Tico Beach Cantina, St Peter

El Tico bills itself as Jersey's original beach café and says it has been hiring out surfboards on St Ouen's Bay since 1948. Visit Jersey calls it the sort of place you can go to straight from the beach, and it runs all day: breakfast from 9am, then burgers, ribs, local crab linguine, moules and curries through to dinner. Its Yankee pancakes with vanilla mascarpone, raspberries and maple syrup made Visit Jersey's 2026 round-up of the island's best pancakes.

Good to know£ for breakfast, ££ for lunch or dinner, going by its website menus†. No table bookings except for the Boardroom, which takes groups of 8 to 14. Open daily except Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day.elticojersey.com

Faulkner Fisheries, St Ouen

Sean Faulkner founded his seafood business in 1980 at L'Etacq, at the northern tip of St Ouen's Bay, and it still runs from a converted German bunker. In summer the Vivier, a working fishery, doubles as a rustic restaurant: freshly cooked seafood with Jersey Royals and homemade Jersey garlic butter, a glass of local wine or beer, and the bay in front of you.

Good to knowSummer menu Tuesday to Saturday, 12pm to 3pm. It opens when the sun is out, so check its social media or call if the weather looks doubtful.†faulknerfisheries.com

A kiosk on the harbour wall at Rozel, trading since 1947, with all its seating outdoors. It is known for burgers, crab sandwiches and homemade cakes, and for a hot chocolate piled with whipped cream and marshmallows. Rozel Bay sits on the boundary between St Martin and Trinity, and Visit Jersey lists the kiosk under Trinity†.

The Rozel Pub & Dining, St Martin

A traditional country pub a couple of minutes' walk from Rozel Bay, with a reputation for its food. The menus are modern pub cooking built on local ingredients, Jersey crab and herb-crusted cod among them, with a Sunday menu and a children's menu, and there is a beer garden and terrace for fine days.

Good to know££Going by its 2025 set lunch at £28 for two courses or £35 for three with a drink included†. Closed Mondays. From early October food is served on Tuesday to Saturday evenings and at Sunday lunch. Call or email for tables of more than eight.rozelpubanddining.co.uk

Gorey and the east

Sumas, St Martin

Sumas has been on Gorey Hill above the harbour since 1997. Michelin's inspectors call it a well-known seaside restaurant that has pleased visitors and locals for years, with a classic, seafood-led menu built on Jersey produce and a heated terrace with harbour views; the AA's inspector notes that the balcony tables are very popular. The 2026 menu has Royal Bay oysters, dived scallops three ways, dressed crab tacos, Jersey lobster grilled with garlic and chilli butter or as a thermidor, line-caught local sea bass and a fruits de mer platter for one or two.

Good to know£££With mains from £21 to £39; the fruits de mer platter is £63 for one or £120 for two. The 2026 Christmas menu is £43.50 for three courses. Michelin's listing gives lunch and dinner Wednesday to Saturday and lunch on Sunday; book online. Visit Jersey lists two AA Rosettes†.sumasrestaurant.com

Bass and Lobster, Grouville

A former roadside pub on the Gorey coast road, a stone's throw from the beach, now a bistro full of regulars. Michelin's inspectors point to the good-value daily set menu, the long list of specials and fresh seafood, and a well-honed fish and chips with mushy peas and curry sauce. You can watch the chefs through the kitchen window. In October and November there is a Feast in the East menu.

Good to know££Going by Michelin's price band. Lunch and dinner Wednesday to Saturday and Sunday lunch, according to its website; open all year. Its 2026 Christmas party menu is already online.bassandlobster.com

Longueville Manor, St Saviour

Longueville Manor is the island's grand country-house hotel, a Relais & Châteaux member with a Michelin Key, and its restaurant has held three AA Rosettes for more than 15 years. The executive head chef is Andrew Baird. Michelin's inspectors describe a characterful 15th-century setting with an oak-panelled dining room, a brighter Garden Room and terrace tables in summer, and suggest asking to see the wine cellar and leaving room for the cheese trolley.

The inspectors flag the Market Menu, built on local seafood and kitchen-garden vegetables, as the good-value way in. Sold as a gift voucher, the three-course Market Menu lunch costs £80 for two.

Good to know£££ at dinner; ££ at lunch. Open daily for lunch and dinner. Smart casual, and the hotel advises booking well in advance. Its Delicious Dine Out menu runs from 1 October to 19 November 2026.longuevillemanor.com

Frequently asked questions

Does Jersey have any Michelin-starred restaurants?

One. Bohemia in St Helier kept its star in the 2026 Michelin Guide, its 22nd year in a row, and its head chef was named Young Chef of the Year. Sixteen other Jersey restaurants are listed in the guide without a star, among them Ocean, Longueville Manor, Tassili and Samphire. None holds a Bib Gourmand.

Is eating out in Jersey more expensive than in London?

For a sit-down meal, slightly. Numbeo's crowd-sourced figures for autumn 2026 put a three-course dinner for two at a mid-range restaurant at about £100 in Jersey, against £80 in London. A pint is cheaper, at around £6 against £7. Many restaurants add a 10% service charge.

Are Jersey's beach cafés open all year?

Some are. El Tico on St Ouen's Bay opens every day except Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day. Others keep shorter seasons: The Hungry Man at Rozel opens from January to October, Plémont Beach Café closes in December, and Faulkner Fisheries at L'Etacq serves its summer menu only when the weather allows.
